Whooo... Happy day!! took a friday leave to meet up with Cheng Wan for high tea & dinner with my bestie.
After reading
Ladyironchef's blog on the list of afternoon high tea, cheng wan & myself decided to give
Tea Lounge @ The Regent a try. Some side note - i downloaded this app "CHOPE" which allow you to make reservation though the app on those participated restaurant. I make my Tea Lounge reservation through the app... which is so convenient & fast.
So happy to meet up with my dear Cheng Wan after she left IRAS, great opportunity to catch up with her =)
Enjoyed the high tea session with her even though the food is kind of disappointing.
Love the ambience as it was so luxurious & relaxing.
They provide a set of tea leaf for you to smell to decide on what tea you want, which is really helpful and its one of the things I liked.
Previously at TWG, there was too much choices of tea & we are no tea experts thus we had a hard time deciding on the tea and how it taste etc.
So this time after some sampling at least I know how the tea is like, sweet type, mint type, oriental type etc..
I chose the Regent Blend which is a bit like Chinese tea, wanted to try the other one with the mint taste but I was afraid it might taste funny.
Fyi, the tea are refillable. *Thumbs up*
I love the plate of pastries that were not on the 3 tier tray.
The pastries on the 3 tier tray were quite a disappointment . Cheng Wan and Myself disliked the pea pie, fruit cake and a few others,
therefore we couldn't finish everything. We had only took a bite or two and thats it.
Even though we didn't manage to finish everything but we were already very full. We had too much tea I guess…
The Leftover.. ya i know is kind of wasting food but i just can't force myself to finish it.
Met Li Mei for our dinner at Bear Bite (Near Scape) as Li Mei had recently saw it in the iWeekly magazine and we decided to give it a try.
We couldn't find it at first as we searching inside Scape, only managed to locate it after leaving scape.
Hmmm… iWeekly certainly took great pictures as it was really kind of a different ambience from what was in the magazine, but nevertheless, we placed our bags on the sheltered seats and went to look at their menu board. But we ended up leaving coz we found it too hot to dine in there. So we went to Paris Baguette, haha yes, again, but Li Mei have yet to try it. So its a good chance to introduce her to it, we decided to have our dinner there and with no regrets. The food there is wonderful as always.
