Went to Goodwood Park Hotel for their Dessert & Durian Buffet with dear, my sis & bro-in-law.

We were all very excited abt the buffet, have been hearing from friends abt how good n delicious the buffet is.

Dear & I had arrived earlier and the waiter asked which buffet we would like to go for:

1. Dessert & Durian Buffet @ $33.80++

2. Any A La Carte Main Course + Dessert & Durian Buffet @ Top up of $26.80++

3. Taiwan Porridge A La Carte Buffet + Dessert & Durian Buffet @ $48.80++

The waiter also told us that many people came just for the Dessert & Durian Buffet. After my sis & bro-in-law arrive we comtemplated between Taiwanese Porridge A La Carte Buffet + Dessert & Durian Buffet OR just the Dessert & Durian Buffet.

We end up choosing just the Dessert & Durian Buffet as our main motive of that trip was to taste their Durian Pasties.

Initially we really enjoyed the durian patries... grabbing all thier durian stuff at one go...

The durian desserts were very tasty, real durian flesh were used in the paste & the durian taste was very strong (Thumps up for the durian pasties)

They do it on the spot thus the pancake is still crispy when you eat.

For our 2nd serving, we went for the dessert which i took a carrot & a chocolate cake but after having the 2 cakes we felt a little sick, as everything were so sweet and we cant really handle so much sweet stuff at one go. So we had to rest our taste buds for a bit. after that i went to take the green bean soup which is not bad, not too sweet but dear mentioned that the sweet-potato soup was super sweet, more like a sugar syrup.

Moving on to their fruits & ice cream... omg really cannot take it... REST AGAIN...

Before leaving i went for another round of durian becoz i felt i haven't ate my money's worth. lol

To me.. nono TO four of us, we felt abit disappointed.

We regretted not choosing the Taiwanese Porridge + Dessert & Durian Buffet. We tot we will be happy & satisfied just with the dessert and durian buffet but we were WRONG. Cos when we saw our neighbouring table order the taiwanese porridge n we were like sick of the sweetness. we really wanted something salty to neutralize the sweetness... WE caught each other peeking over and "LIU KOU SHUI" (drooling) quite a few times.

Overall i think its totally not worth it to pay $33.80++ for the dessert & Durian buffet, although the Durian Pasties are nice but how much cake & pasties can we eat? I would rather take the $$ to buy real durians and would have enjoy it more.
